The Future Demand Strategy Advisor is an on-demand strategic tool built around the same evidence and framework set out in the book.

Ask it real marketing questions, from budget allocation to media mix, creative direction to measurement, and get structured, commercially grounded guidance you can act on immediately.

Web-based tool: Runs in your browser on any device, mobile or desktop. Nothing to download.

Whether you're preparing a board presentation, reviewing a campaign plan, or rethinking your brand strategy, the Strategy Advisor helps you apply long-term growth thinking in real time.

Use it to pressure-test campaign strategy, allocate budget between brand and activation, reframe short-term performance discussions, build evidence-backed arguments for the boardroom, and export answers straight into white papers and slide decks.

It's like having James Hurman in your pocket: a strategic companion built on proven effectiveness research, there whenever a real decision lands on your desk.

Purchase includes 50 credits to start. One credit covers one action, whether that's asking a question, pushing a thread further, generating a white paper, or building a slide deck. You can top up in-app whenever you need more, and your access is for life with no time limit. You're in immediately after purchase, using the login provided.

Pocket Advisor App: Frequently asked questions

What is the Pocket Advisor?

It's the Future Demand book turned into a tool you can talk to. Chat with the ideas in the book, get reminded of any specific principle or study whenever you need it, pull out the charts, and turn any concept into a one-pager or a short deck you can put in front of your team or your leadership.

What can I use it for?

Three things, mainly. Ask it to explain or recall anything from the book, so the model is on hand the moment a real decision lands. Download the charts and evidence to use in your own work. And generate one-pagers and short decks on specific principles, ready to share with colleagues and stakeholders.

How is this different from ChatGPT or Claude?

A general AI LLM gives you general marketing advice. The Pocket Advisor works only from the Future Demand model and the research behind it, and it produces things built on that thinking: the book's own charts, one-pagers, and decks grounded in the actual evidence base rather than a generic answer you still have to check.

How does pricing work?

The app comes with 50 credits. Each credit covers one action: asking a question, digging deeper into an answer, generating a PDF, or building a slideshow. When you run low, you can top up inside the app whenever you want.

What do top-ups cost?

Top-ups are one-off in-app purchases, with no subscription and no recurring charge. You buy more only when you need them, and the larger packs are better value: $10 gets you 10 credits, $18 gets you 20, $30 gets you 50, $55 gets you 100, and $100 gets you 200. ($ all in USD)

Do I need to have read the book to use it?

No. The Pocket Advisor works on its own and applies the model directly to your situation. Reading the book gives you the full argument and the evidence behind it, which is why the Complete pack includes both.

Is what I put into the app kept private?

Yes. Everything you put into the Pocket Advisor is anonymised, so your questions and inputs aren't tied back to you personally. You can think through real strategic decisions and use your own context freely, knowing it isn't identifiable to you.

How long do I have access?

Lifetime. Your $49 buys ongoing access to the Pocket Advisor with no time limit and no expiry. Credits are the only thing you ever top up, and the app itself is yours to keep.
